We are deeply saddened by the very untimely death of
Ian Quinn, over the years we have had the opportunity to capture memorable
moments of Ian at work, here is just a sample of them.
Action from this weekend’s April Races in Mondello park are now on line, it was an excellent weekend of high speed and high Jinks action on track, it was hard to know which way to look as the action was very fast and frenetic
as you can see.

The Pictures are in the Gallery and our thanks to the Mondello Marshals and Crew…
The Mondello Park Paddock was busy this weekend as the 2014 Races got underway and once again the Patch Fiesta’s stole the show , it was a real door banging affair from start to finish, a bump here, a nudge here sure it’s all good fun.
The future classics also produced some excellent racing this weekend and there were some great battles with some epic dives into the corners by some of the crews.

It was slippy wet conditions in Mondello for the 2014 IRCA Marshals Pay Back Day, perfect for getting the “Auld Jammer sideways” , and boy did the drivers oblige they got sideways, backways, front ways and just about every other ways ! you could get a car to go, it was a hoot to watch.
The weather was cat but nobody cared, it was all about fun and raising much needed funds for charity, well done to Declan and the team for putting on an excellent show, some of the action is now in the gallery.
Thank you folks…
[schema type=”recipe” name=”Carlow Christmas Rally Sprint 2013″ description=”High Speed, High Jinks and High winds were the flavour of the day at the annual Carlow Christmas sprint in Mondello, the latter causing mayhem country wide. The event was sold out within days of going live and there was a sizeable reserve list as well, not even Santa could get an entry on the day. In spite of the inclement weather spirits were high in the Paddock, and racing got underway around 10:30am, wind and monsoon conditions prevailed for much of the day making photography tricky, and we have added some of the action to the Gallery. Well done to the Marshals& Carlow crew for standing out in such diabolical weather. Happy Christmas, and the best of luck for 2014. ” ]

Details of the event have been released by The FAI World Motor Sport Council that will see individual National Hillclimb Champions battle it out for the Champion of Champions title. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three drivers but there will also be a Nations Cup that will be based on a regularity index rather than outright BHP and Speed.
The inaugural event will take place in Eschdorf, in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on the 11nd & 12th October 2014, but other Nations can apply to Host the event, the Hillclimb Commission will make available Rules & Regulations for the drivers as well as guidelines and requirements required by countries who may submit their candidature for the event.
Ireland has already hosted a WRC Rally event and given the right backing we could indeed host a Masters Hillclimb Event here; The Co Clare rounds of our championship have two iconic hills right next to each other. There’s the world renowned Corkscrew Hill and the daunting Ballyallaban Hill, both capable of hosting the event in arguably one of the most scenic parts of Ireland.
Simon McKinley is trying to put a sponsorship package together that will allow him to travel to the event, and with a little backing an Irish team could be there in 2014 challenging the best in Europe. Simon can be contacted thru Facebook.

Sunday’s Rallycross in Mondello was fast & frenetic from the word go keeping spectators on the edge of their seats, as usual a tap here & a nudge there, “Sure I’m only letting you know I’m still here!” was the order of the day, much to the spectators delight.
The highlight of the day was the return of the Mondello Park Super Final, it’s a sight to behold to see the cars barrelling down under the bridge to the first corner, the race was interrupted when a Lotus smacked the Armco very hard at the back of the circuit, thankfully all was ok and the race restarted.
Andrew Morris in his Subaru Impreza took the win in spectacular style, a win well deserved..
Pictures are in the Gallery, our thanks to the Marshals & Crew in Mondello for another excellent day of Motorsport.
