Irish Hillclimb & Sprint 2017

jansplashAt the time of posting this there are 106 days until Saturday April 22nd which is the first round of the 2017 Naylor Engineering Irish Hillclimb & Sprint Championship. The first two rounds of this very exciting championship will kick-off in the spectacular Burren in Co Clare. The event is based in Ballyvaughan Village and is jointly run by the Clare and Galway Motor clubs and it features the iconic Corkscrew Hill that’s traditionally run on the Saturday and the newer Hill near Ballinalacken is run on Sunday.

So put a note in your diary for April 22-23 and don’t miss out on one of Irelands most spectacular motorsport championships. We’ll have more news on the event later…

There is a non-championship sprint in  Kirkistown on Saturday 18th March and many of the regular competitors use the event as a pre season shake-down to blow-off the winter cobwebs.

There is a competitors forum being held on Sunday 19th February, in the Maldron Hotel Portlaoise at 3pm. Irish Hillclimb.com will have more news on the event as the date draws near.

Pre-Season Scrutiny.

There will also be Pre-Season Scrutiny Events in 2017, and if you are taking part in the championship it’s worth getting your car checked out by the MI Scrutineers. The two locations are as follows.

Sunday 12th March Venue: John Linnane Motors Rathnew, Co. Wicklow.
